We are delighted to announce that Vanessa Burton, geotechnical engineer in our Ground Engineering sector, has achieved Chartered Engineer status, following her Professional Review with the Institute of Chartered Civil Engineers (ICE). The Chartered Professional Review comprised of a report, presentation, interview and communication task. Vanessa has demonstrated enthusiasm and determination to complete the Company ICE Training Scheme and Professional Review. We congratulate her on her success.
We are also extremely pleased to announce Ioannis Koromilas has completed his Initial Professional Development (IPD) under the Institution of Civil Engineers Training Scheme; demonstrating that he has achieved the required level in all 7 Attributes to be able to undertake the Chartered Professional Review. Ioannis has been formally signed off by the ICE’s Membership Development Officer for our London office, Kieran Tully.
Ioannis has been working on site for over 12 months on a secondment to the Align-D site supervision team as a Deck Erection Site Engineer. This secondment provided Ioannis the work experience to help him to complete his outstanding Attributes. Ioannis will now continue to consolidate his experience and work towards undertaking the Professional Review in the coming months.
Ioannis has shown flexibility, enthusiasm, determination and diligence throughout the whole process, and we congratulate him on this milestone to achieving Chartered Engineer status.
Rendel has a sizeable team of Supervising Civil Engineers, Delegated Engineers, peers, colleagues and secretaries who all support the engineers throughout their journey to sitting the Professional Review. Their involvement includes reviewing reports, leading attribute Q&A sessions, crash courses in H&S and the IMS, numerous mock reviews, and many informal discussions during their preparation.
Without everyone’s effort and the hard work of our engineers coming through the Scheme, we would not have reached the levels of success that we have in recent years with the number of engineers successfully achieving chartered status.
