Ingerop receives Silver BIM in the infrastructure category for the CSNE project

Ingerop, as part of the ONE consortium (Egis lead, ISL, SBE, MDP, NEY & Partners and AEI), has received a Silver BIM Award in the Infrastructure category for the Seine-North Europe Canal (CSNE) project.

Ingerop was also involved in other projects which received an award, including Lyon Part-Dieu’s Multimodal Interchange, in which Arcora is involved, and the Teleo project in Toulouse, which received the special jury prize.

The CSNE project is a wide-gauge waterway covering 107km between Compiègne and Aubencheul-au-Bac, near the Belgian border. The digital model has been developed to cater for all stages of the project lifecycle: design, construction, operation and decommissioning. The federated model, updated on a weekly basis and assembled by the BIM coordinator, includes all the data relating to the design, including environmental data. The BIM model required a close collaboration between all disciplines (waterway design, road design, hydraulics, geotechnics, earthworks, watertightness, civil design of the canal locks and gates, M&E systems, environment, landscape design, operation, etc.). It enabled the review of the designs, facilitated the management of interfaces between the disciplines and the identification of clashes. It was also a key factor for maintaining a cohesive and motivated team during the pandemic. Later on, augmented reality will be deployed for site visits with the local residents. Realistic images will be provided for community consultation purposes.

Rendel is a subsidiary of the Ingerop Group.
