Rendel has been appointed by Ferrovial Agroman Laing O’Rourke (FLO) to carry out Category III checking and damage assessment of the Thames Tideway Central Section temporary works. Rendel’s project team, led by Dan Squires, Director Ports and Maritime, will provide a Third Party Design Verification for the impacts of the first phases of construction, which includes shaft and tunnel construction, on the existing river walls of the Thames at Kirtling Street, London, SW8.

The Thames Tideway Tunnel is a major new sewer which is urgently required to protect the River Thames from pollution during high tides. Over the next 100 years it will prevent overflows from London’s Victorian sewage systems.
