Zaha Hadid
All of us at Rendel are shocked and saddened by the sudden and early death of Zaha Hadid at the age of just 65.
We are extremely proud to have worked with her on the Sheikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi which has been included by The Guardian in a list of her top ten best buildings. Rendel was the design engineer for this iconic bridge.
David Astin, who worked with her on the Sheikh Zayed project, said, “It was privilege to work with Zaha Hadid and her team exploring the boundaries of bridge design to create a unique structure which can be appreciated both for its dramatic form and its function as a major piece of road infrastructure.”
